A print server is a host computer or device to which one or more printers are connected and that can accept print jobs from external clientcomputers connected to the print server over a network . The printer server then sends the data to the appropriate printer that it manages
The price is fairly competitive, since it supports a 100 Mbps network. The HTML software interface is VERY limited. To make most configuration changes, you must use Telnet.exe, which is a DOS-like text screen interface, with numbered menus. There is a lengthy manual (PDF file) on the resource CD, which is fairly clear, and tries to explain some really technical stuff. Telnet.exe is a windows program. It appears like they were too lazy to re-write it as a Windows interface! Based on the DSL reports reviews, I knew that every router has problems. What I saw was that many people who bought the NetGear had tried the LinkSys first. They could not get the LinkSys to work, but the NetGear did. But there were also some people who had the opposite situation, and liked LinkSys better.

A
fax server is a set of softwarerunning on a server computerwhich is equipped with one or more fax -capable modems attached to telephone lines (or, more recently, software modem emulators which use T.38 ("Fax over IP") technology to transmit the signal over an IP network). Its function is to accept documents from users, convert them into faxes, and transmit them, as well as to receive fax calls and either store the incoming documents or pass them on to users. Users may communicate with the server in several ways, through either a local network or the Internet . In a big organisation with heavy fax traffic, the computer hosting the fax server may be dedicated to that function, in which case the computer itself may also be known as a fax server.

MAil ServerYour computer account will automatically expire approximately one month after your course finishes or you leave the University. After this date all of your University e-mail (including your address book) will be permanently deleted, and thus irretrievable. If you have a need to keep your University e-mail then you have two options: forward the individual e-mails to a non-University e-mail account manually, or move your e-mails onto the local hard disk of an e-mail client on your own machine.
Computing Services would recommend that the best method for keeping University e-mails after your course has finished is to forward any important e-mails to other e-mail accounts and / or save any attachments to your computer’s hard disk. However if you really do need to save the majority of your e-mails then please follow the procedures below on how to achieve this.
